What we keep

For each student: given and family name as printed on documents, email address, preferred language, the courses attended with dates and instructor, and the documents issued (attestations and certificates). For signing in: your password, stored only in hashed form, and a log of sign-in attempts, deleted after 30 days.

Public verification and your name

Anyone holding the verification code printed on one of your documents can check on this site that it is authentic. The verification page shows the kind of document, the course, the dates and the status (valid, expired or revoked). It also shows your full name, because you agreed at issue that it would be shown. You can withdraw that agreement at any time from your own page or by writing to us; from then on, verification says the name is withheld at your request.

Why, and for how long

We use this information to issue documents and to let them be verified. The register of issued documents (matricola number, course, dates, status) is kept for as long as a document may be presented, because a verification must never give a wrong answer. If you ask to be erased, we delete your account and contact details and your name is no longer shown; the register keeps only what is needed to confirm the document is authentic.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, erase or restrict your information, or object to its use, by writing to schola@cappelleriabertacchi.com. You can also complain to the supervisory authority (in Canada the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

We never send promotional messages without your express consent.
